When mounting the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap in a glass pane, your
glazier will generally cut a circular hole, leaving open areas around
the corners of your cat flap. The Cat Flap Mounting Adaptor covers
these open areas, preventing loss of heat from your home and providing a
clean, neat finish to your installation.

Step-by-step Instructions
The recommended wall installation technique avoids the use of adhesives, which could make it difficult to remove your cat flap at a later date. It also means that you do not have to drill through any part
of your cat flap during installation.
We also recommend using Cat Flap Tunnel Extenders.

Step-by-step Instructions
The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap has been designed as a drop-in
replacement for most existing cat flaps. However, in some instances you
may find that the hole left by your previous cat flap is larger than
the hole required for your SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap. The Cat Flap Mounting Adaptor provides a
neat way to cover such a hole.
In rare instances it may be necessary to cut a larger hole when installing the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap into a door containing metal, as the presence of a metal plate can influence the performance of the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap. If this is the case, we recommend the use of the Cat Flap Mounting Adaptor to cover the hole, as above. Detailed installation instructions for metal doors can be found on page 13 of the product manual.
